What our emergency service covers
Not every emergency needs a specialist. Many urgent household problems can be solved immediately with craft skills and the right tools: a lock that won't close, a water connection that drips, a door off its hinge, a window that's no longer sealed after a storm, or a radiator that won't regulate.
We don't replace plumbing or electrical firms — but we can often be on site faster and secure or fix the problem directly. If it genuinely needs a specialist, we say so honestly and help bridge the gap.
Our emergency service isn't a call centre with surcharges — it's the same craftsmen who handle our regular jobs, just with priority.

Finding a handyman at short notice in Zurich is hard. Most firms are booked weeks ahead — and emergency services often charge hefty premiums. Our emergency service works differently: no call-centre flat fee, no hidden charges. You reach the craftsman directly. And if the problem is outside our scope, we say so immediately — instead of tinkering for an hour and calling the specialist anyway.
Emergency service FAQ
How fast can you come?
Usually the same day, often within 2–4 hours. Depends on current location and workload — we tell you immediately.
Does the emergency service cost more?
Daytime call-outs (Mon–Sat until 8 pm) are at the regular hourly rate. Evening and Sunday call-outs carry a surcharge, which we state upfront.
What can you NOT fix?
Gas installations, work on the fuse box and structural building work. Those need a licensed specialist — we help with referrals.
Do I need to be home?
Yes — we only work with the client present. Exception: property managers with key handover.
Do you work on Sundays?
For genuine emergencies, yes — by phone arrangement. Regular repairs are scheduled for weekdays.
