Silicone & sealant work — fresh joints, mould-free.
Renewal of silicone joints in bathroom, kitchen and windows. We remove the old material completely, clean and lay a smooth, durable seal.
Why joints in Zurich need regular renewal
Zurich bathrooms are often small and poorly ventilated. That's the perfect breeding ground for mould — and old silicone joints are its favourite spot. Done properly once (full cut-out, clean, dry, sanitary silicone with fungicide), you get 5 to 8 years of peace. Just laid over the top, you'll see the black streak again in 6 months.
How we lay joints that actually last
Remove old silicone
Cut out completely — no residue in corners or edges.
Clean & dry
Silicone remover and clean cloth — surface must be dust- and grease-free.
Mask
Precise tape lines for a knife-sharp joint.
Apply silicone
Sanitary silicone with fungicide in one continuous bead.
Smooth & strip
Smoothing tool, tape pulled immediately — perfect edge.
Where silicone makes the difference
Silicone is what separates water from wall. When it breaks, water runs behind tiles, into the wall, into the floor — and 6 months later you have damage that costs many times the joint renewal. Classic spots: shower (all corners, bath edge), bathtub (all around), basin-to-wall, sink-to-worktop, window reveal outside.
We use only sanitary silicone with fungicide, approved for wet rooms. It stays elastic, yellows slowly, and stands up to daily splash water. On glass and natural stone we pick the right type — some silicones eat marble, that doesn't happen here.

Common questions
How long does the joint need to cure?
Fully usable after 24 hours. Showers can be used normally after 24 hours — avoid splash water before that.
What does a standard bathroom cost?
A full shower (3 walls + bath edge) about CHF 180–240. Full bathroom with bath, shower and basin about CHF 320–420.
Can mouldy joints be saved or does it all come out?
With deep mould only renewal works. Cleaning is short-term — we tell you honestly what's worth it.
Do you use coloured silicone for grey joints too?
Yes — standard colours like Manhattan grey, anthracite, Bahama beige are in stock. Special colours on order.
